Meet Dr. Johnathan Spence
(Violinist/Violist) Discovering the magic of the violin at the age of ten had a profound impact on his life and artistic trajectory. Since that day, it's always been about the music, and the love behind it all. Beyond his passion for chamber music, he has an innate gift for inspiring and guiding musicians of all ages, initiating them into their greatest form.
With a desire to create a community for fellow musicians, he offers mentorship through private lessons, chamber music coaching, studio classes, student recitals, faculty concerts, and an immersive summer program. “Dr. Spence is very professional and delightful to have as a violin instructor. My daughter has been taking violin lessons with him for more than a year. He is very calm and puts ease on her to learn. It is important for me to have someone who can teach the instrument and also who can work with kids. He has both abilities. He is very knowledgeable in his expertise and is always willing to work around my busy schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Spence to anyone who wants to learn the violin.” - Carita T.
